I’ll keep my comments brief because I’ve had a busy week.
If you’ve been playing along listening to the current episodes every two weeks, as they come out, you may have gotten a glitchy file in the last two episodes. I think I’ve fixed them.
What I got in my podcast feed when they released was a double episode. So, the episode played and then the same episode got duplicated in the file, so the recording was twice as long and contained the same show twice.
That was not the intended effect.
I think it was caused by something going amiss in Acast. Not to go into too much sausage making, but they added a feature where you can automate an intro or outro. This means instead of adding your opening/closing comments directly as part of the show, you upload them as a separate file, and they are programmatically added to the show.
But, somehow, in both cases, when I used this feature, it added the entire show into the intro/outro and then we got double shows.
So I’m not going to use that anymore.
I was trying to put in a recommendation I recorded for my friend and nutrition coach Dr. Rachel Shuck, because I worked with her this year to get healthy, lose some weight, and fuel my body in such a way that I can keep accomplishing all these goals I’ve been talking about. It’s not just the running; it’s being able to get up early, and produce the shows and everything else. Getting my nutrition right allows me to get my life right.

In other news, my publishing journey is moving along. I’m finalizing the cover for the book today and it should be ready to go! I’m so excited. I’ve been telling everyone I meet. I’m like a little kid with this one.
